A focus on quality is important to patients and families, clinical staff and volunteers, managers, donors and policy makers.  

 

What exactly is a standard?

A standard is a predetermined expectation set by a competent authority that describes the minimally acceptable level of

  • Structures in place
  • Performance of a process
  • Measurable outcome that is practically attainable
